We believe in kismet, in fate, in Divine intervention, and the power of the Universe. All of the magical forces came together in April of 2018, when we met in the Bahamas at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Center during our Ayurveda Yoga Therapy certification program. Our bond and connection was powerful, realizing pretty quickly that we were destined to travel together and collaborate on workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings. We are deeply honored to share our unique partnership with you on this magical journey to Costa Rica.
I believe in self-care & self-love. I believe in magic. I believe that ayurveda, yoga & meditation can transform the world. I believe in sharing and holding space for transformation, health and happiness through yoga. I've found that recognizing the true nature of spirit gives us the freedom to play, explore and find adventure all through our lives. When we tap into our own light, our spirit illuminates, vibrating at a higher vibration, a higher frequency. When we come together, we raise that vibration even higher.
I have been practicing yoga and meditation since 1983, am an ongoing student of Rolf Gates having completed my first 200hr with him and currently enrolled in his 500hr. I am certified with the California College of Ayurveda as an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist and on the pathway toward Ayurvedic Doctor. I am an #AIRealYoga instructor, and have studied under some world renowned teachers including Stephen Cope, MCYogi, Amanda Giacomini, Biff Mithoefer, Tommy Rosen, Nikki Myers, Dr. Melody Moore, Patrick Beach, Carling Harps, Jason Crandall, and many more.
I live in beautiful Bend, OR where I lead a weekly community yoga class supporting local organizations at the Sunny Yoga Kitchen and teach at Groove Yoga. I started my private Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy practice, AWAKEN AYURVEDA, guiding my clients towards their healthy, balanced selves through consultation, meditation, pranayama, yoga asana, nutrition, essential oils and herbal treatments.

Health, wellness, and health education has always been an important part of my life whether I was in college personal training or caring for patients as registered nurse. Somewhere in the midst of “doing” life I lost sight of just “being”, and that’s when yoga found me ultimately inspiring me to open TULIVESI Yoga studio years later to share my love of yoga with my community. I wasn’t searching for it, but it was at a time my body and mind was ridden with anxiety and exhaustion that meditation first found its way into my life, soon followed by a regular studio and home practice. Practice by practice I’ve learned to release my grasp on life and roles, and see the world in a new fresh way. Living my practice has brought me experiences and opportunities I otherwise wouldn’t have made room for in my life. It's taught me the true reward of patience and listening to the whispers of the soul. My passion for a deeper understanding of yoga led me to the study of Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga. My approach to finding balance and bliss in life arises from my fusion of yoga through philosophy, eastern, and western medicine. In my classes you will find a strong foundation of alignment, probably some arm balance options which I love, mixed with a humorous side of quirky. I enjoy leading creative fun flows that embody all of the elements and allow sensation of the subtle body and breath to lead the way. When I am not teaching yoga I enjoy spending time with my husband and dog Rambo, paddleboarding and kiteboarding on Lake Superior, skiing, snowboarding, camping, and hiking in the woods.
